And they have less overall sunlight since they're farther north than you. What do they do in Scandinavia? Or Iceland? Or Ireland? In Iceland the sun comes up around 11:30AM lol stop complaining it could be much worse
May 23May 23 in the winter of 73-74 they kept daylight savings time, and parents were complaining their kids were going to school in the dark...

There are already some proposals floating around to do that.As you know, Americans drive a lot more than Europeans. There have been studies that show a lot more kids would get hit by cars if they're going to school in the dark.

Are kids walking down long forested roads with no reflective clothing on with no street lights with no sidewalk while maniacs are careening down the roads?
May 23May 23 Little kids don't walk to school by themselves anymore anyway. Maybe in the 70s they did.

I don't have to explain that. Kids also walk into the streets without a care in the world. It's not a good combination.

Maybe in the 70s they did.I walked half a mile to my school when I was as young as 6 and I didn’t think anything of it, and that was normal. The abduction and murder of that kid in New York City in 1979 changed everything.
