And then on top of that you have to deal with an awful 1-2 hour commute each way just to be taxed to death on top of that.

There were days that took me 50 minutes to drive a mile and a half.

If youre financing a fucken boat then maybe you shouldn't be buying one

Ummm I brought my $40k ScoutDorado new at the NYC boat show in 2017 and financed. Even with the 15 years note that paid off a couple years ago, I saved A TON with what I was paying a month and all expenses. I was spending almost $900/month on charters and that isn't counting snacks, tackle etc. My boat was $255/month and with full insurance $300/month. Trust me, even with interest it was well worth the investment and I can trailer it to the Ramp and go whenever I want.

Financing is great IF you don't pay twice for it (many do that on cars, just for prestige, let alone boats) and you use it alot to justify the Financing and covering maintenance.

PS- I go out from End of May till Thanksgiving day about 80+times

Happens all too often OR they take out a larger than expected Home Equity loan for 20-30 years, buy it, get a slip and then paying for the upkeep and the like. Finding out they can't afford it and either have it sit rotting in there yard OR selling it to just make some money back, while still being significantly upside down. Seen it all, I had a plan, a good reason that was actually more affordable and stuck to it. Many don't and just forget that when you get to a certain size boat, not the payment but the upkeep is actually MORE.

The average American is a total idiot with money. I have rentals and ive got one tenant who's a solid guy but has filed for bankruptcy 3 times and hes currently in pretty significant debt already. Hes OK with making rent payments its usually every other week when he gets paid and lately I have to drive there to pick it up because his car was repoed a few months back. Its whatever but I have to go there on hos payday or else he will blow his money and then im chasing his dumbass down.

That really sucks. Unfortunately that’s going to change the whole Dynamic of the area. Believe it or not it’s crap like this that is making HOA‘s become more popular. As bad as they can be, you understand the reason for why they have them and why a lot of other communities are getting them more and more.

Someone take grandpa's phone away

Wow…the Democrats just turned in one of their own in California to open the way for Newsome.

Sorry Eric, what goes up, must come down.

Boy the Democrats are lethal.

Trump is the only president ever to stand up to the Shiite Muslims.

Now we have Trump and Netanyahu…..

Sorry Piker, Fuentes, Tucker….and half of America who do not understand the danger of that religion.

Muslims are NOT a people you want running western civilization or having any influence. It is not racist, it is FACT. Sharia Law and the like, enough said. Keep that over there. Plus the Shiite Muslims are the worse kind. 7 administration's came and went. Did nothing with IRAN, Trump is finally ridding the world of that trash heap

I tell people all the time to look up probably the worst single terrorist in the United States has ever had to deal with and that is Imad Mughyaeh who was the leader of Hezbollah and he masterminded the Marine Corps barracks bombings, he was the one who took the American and the western hostages in Lebanon, the hijacking of the TWA plane in Beirut, where he beat and tortured and murdered Robert Stethem and then threw his body out onto the tarmac. he helped kidnapped the only CIA chief in its history to be kidnapped, tortured and murdered his name was William Buckley. The kidnapping of the cruise ship, Achille Lauro and the murder of Leon Klinghoffer. Al-Qaeda has absolutely nothing on this guy, he was the worst we have ever dealt with.

What people forget was that Israel killed him in 2008 which was absolutely huge. Everybody forgets about that history and everybody ignores it and they act like it didn’t happen. But it did and it is finally being dealt with. My problem is is that there should be much more force used. I wish Trump would’ve went fully scorched earth last week. I don’t know why he didn’t. Who cares what world opinion is who cares what the rest of MAGA says or doesn’t say, we should just completely obliterate Iran, then regime change it and rebuild them.

There is a video online of African Muslims carrying bags. They look like bags of potatoes they have yet they are African Christian children bought to be slaves for them and yet everybody is silent about that. The African Muslims are enslaving the African Christians every day with torture and death and slavery and it’s ignored.

They did that when I lived in Yorktown, NY. The town was R-leaning until they allowed mass zoning, so people from the city moved in and turned the areas nearby blue. It turned a quiet town into a hellhole.

Section 8 here in CT doing the same thing-apartment buildings going up just about everywhere

I saw that as well. Super sad.

It is happening in NJ too. Even Paul's rich town can't fight it anymore. Builders are able to sue towns and the towns are wasting too much $ fighting it only to lose. The amount of building that has gone on in my town in the 10 years that I've lived here is nuts. My old town of Piscataway was ruined, and now it is happening here in my current town. I think a few thousand condo units were built, and by 2035 (maybe sooner) another like 4000 have to be built. The school sizes are already struggling and will 100% have to expand, costing all of us more $ as well. Thank God my kids are done with school this year. The amount of fields and forest area's that have been re-zoned in order to build is sad. Everything is being paved over slowly but steady. We won't be able radiate at night out here soon enough.

This is a snip, but the suing has been going on for years now

The New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) is suing 159 municipalities for attempting to lower their state-mandated affordable housing quotas, claiming this "playbook of obfuscation and delay" reduces necessary housing development. Builders are enforcing the Mount Laurel doctrine to build, challenging towns that claim a lack of land, which could jeopardize 14,000 potential affordable units.

Frank, the builders here go to the State 1st

The Dems approved it without blinking

We sue them, they have whats called builders remedy which means it cant fail

We get to the 11th hr and the State says move aside or you lose all highways and road funding

Done

How is your specific area? Do you have a lot of acreage and hopefully doesn’t affect you but I imagine that you were close enough to where it’s being built where it is going to have an impact when you go shopping or going to town to whatever you have to do. But hopefully it’s not going to affect it right exactly where you live.
