Iran exported 620 million barrels of oil through Hormuz in 2025, at an average price of 70 dollars a barrel.

That means Iran made almost 44 billion dollars from oil exports in 2025.

The "toll" they were going to charge was 1 dollar per barrel, which means if they exported the same as last year they would have made an additional 620 million dollars from tolls.

Now with the US blocking the Strait, we are depriving them of almost 44 billion dollars annual revenue, and that's at 70 dollars a barrel. It could have been more.

Blocking the Strait was the smart move and it will strangle their economy.

Catholicism is a beautiful religion. Unfortunately it is run by humans, whether clergy or not, they make mistakes.
