I thought our population was fairly steady and barely growing (and now dropping because people are being deported.)

Why are they building all this crap for?

Daily climo reports for NYC & EWR were both 90 before 5pm as well. NYC has to get their 90 degree days in before the leaves are out haha.

Im not sure about there, but NJ has had low income housing quotas that towns are mandated to hit. Many towns fought it off for years and years, but it wasnt a battle they could win. My fairly small town here, from like 2022-2032 is building something like 4-5k units. You can just imagine what its going to do with schools, roads, etc. Along the rail line and highway is where they are building mostly. They go up so damn fast.

I was at Crocheron Park this past Sunday morning. Everyone has two and three cars now. That wasn't the case 30 years ago.

I live by myself and I have 3 vehicles lol

Maybe some sneaky strong storms here Sunday.
Coverage won't be great, but there could be a few supercells.

How is the town Plukenin NJ doing? I used to do work at A&P over there. I also did work at the Kings in White House station. I was less there I think in 2009 and I said they are probably going to end up building there because it was such a nice area, but there was a lot of spots with developers could come and I hope that isn’t the case because both those areas were decent.

How in the world did such a rule go into effect to begin with? It sounds like it should be unconstitutional.

The Mizumi restaurant used to be a diner back in the 1980s and 90s I believe in to the 2000s. I used to have work meetings over there. I used to park in the back close to that wall at the fore end of the lot, but on this one day I didn’t. I parked closer where the higher part is.

There was a massive thunderstorm when I was in there at the meeting and when I came out all the cars that were parked by that wall, we’re halfway into the water. It was completely flooded, but my car was sitting in about 10 inches of water, but it didn’t come into the car like those other cars did.

I’m telling you whatever you do if you go there in the summertime don’t park anywhere near that wall. I can’t imagine what it was like during Ida.

That area is already naturally low being between the marsh and the bay.

You're talking about Seville Diner, I had been there a few times way back.

My go to place was Blue Bay diner on Francis Lewis. It's still there.

I also used to go Pamela's on Steinway in Astoria a lot. I used to order the twin cheeseburger deluxe. I can still taste those cheeseburgers man, they were so good.

Pluckemin? That isnt too far from me, like 20 minutes. I worked near there for years. I think its still ok, but condos right off of 202 I think the Kings in whitehouse is still there is its the one on route 22.

I don't know why you expected to wake up to heavy rain when models don't have heavy rain until this evening.
