Heaviest rainfall rate I have seen since late New Years Eve Dec 31 2024.

Daily climo reports for NYC & EWR were both 90 before 5pm as well. NYC has to get their 90 degree days in before the leaves are out haha.

At least 1.5-2” here

.42 here I will finish with a half inch pretty much. Nice drink.

Same here

It was like a mini tornado

I heard central Brooklyn to Central and South Queens and NASA. There was one and a half two over 3 1/2 inches of rain in about an hour and there is severe flooding everywhere

Looks like LIE is closed in eastern Queens.

This thing missed me by a hair

It is so humid right now it feels like July 20 rather than May 20.

Dewpoints are near 70 right now.

Luckily we'll clear this shit away soon.

Can make a very good argument that Saturday will be the worst weather day of the year.

Not even close. Today was the worst of the year so far for me. 92° two point temperature of 72, it was horrible.

Saturday looks horrendous. Upper 40s/Low 50s and 1-3" of rain

Coming back from C FL to this weather is a nice wake up. At least it was low 90s at JFK upon landing yesterday. We need the rain though, so I can’t complain too much. Hopefully after the holiday weekend we get some sustained warmer weather around here finally.

Feels great today.

This is much better than it’s been. We need the rain so that could soak. Can we get Saturday into Sunday will be much needed.

By the way, the other night, Joe Cioffi on the Joe and Joe Weather podcast said that there is a good chance that this heat that we had will be the hottest we see for the rest of the spring and summer.
