  • Last summer, we had a cold front go through here and on a dry west north west wind. The temperature rose into the low 90s after 11 PM. I was out walking the dog when it happened. It was actually in th

Daily climo reports for NYC & EWR were both 90 before 5pm as well. NYC has to get their 90 degree days in before the leaves are out haha.

1.28” here on the South Shore. 3Should be close to 2” after this heavier batch over NJ moves through

Almost 1" since midnight.

I'm at 1.52 inches so far.

Maybe this last batch gets me close to the 2 inch mark.

The overnight batches caught you up

In the end the wetter models at least for the tristate area were correct.

Except for that one extreme Euro run, yes.

Yeah, I fell asleep but thought it would get us.

1.32" and raining still in Syosset. I have to go check my Muttontown rain gauge, as it's only 0.34" & probably clogged up, ugh.

Since Tuesday a general 2.5" to 5.0" of very welcome rainfall has taken place across Chester County.

West Grove 5.14" / West Bradford 4.39" / Kennett Square 4.32" / Longwood Gardens 4.22" / West Chester 3.97" / Nottingham 3.24" / Atglen 2.91" / Glenmoore 2.87" / Chester Springs 2.79" / East Nantmeal 2.62" and Warwick Twp. 2.48"

So this afternoon don’t look awful now I guess

No, there's a break and then more rain at night.

Over 2 inches now

1.72" in Syosset. Unclogged the Muttontown station but it only raised the total there to 0.57" 🤷‍♂️

1.65 here and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Nice steady and slow rainfall a perfect slow soak into the ground.

It is not usual to look this time of year at the East Siberian Sea, but a disturbance there now will be in the Northeast on Friday with very low thicknesses and possibly snow for Mt. Washington. Any thunderstorms out ahead of it could be hail producers.

Looks like I'll top of at 2.12 inches for today.

More tomorrow but overall a very wet system
